The , organized by cizucu since the end of last year, allows participants to join a photo poster exhibition simply by submitting their photos to cizucu. It’s a great opportunity to meet new photographer friends.

This time, we had the chance to speak with AK, a creator who participated in the .

Please introduce yourself!

My name is AK, and I spend my weekends engaging in photography in Osaka.
I’ve been into photography for five years, with the last three years focusing mainly on portrait photography. I’m a Scorpio, blood type O, and part of the middle-aged generation.

Five years ago, after a long battle with illness, my father, who loved taking photos outdoors, passed away. To carry on his passion, I started photography.

What inspired you to participate?

Throughout my five years of photography, I’ve always been interested in participating in exhibitions. I often wondered where I could showcase my work in a way that felt authentic to me. During this time, I received a direct message from cizucu.

They kindly addressed my concerns about exhibiting and suggested, “Why not visit one of our exhibitions to get a feel for the atmosphere?” I decided to attend the poster exhibition, and it was there that I realized, “This is the place where I want to showcase my work!” That’s how I made my debut.

Have you experienced any changes through multiple participations?

Previously, I focused solely on improving myself through photography, whether it was landscapes or subjects.

However, meeting people in real life, seeing photos from various genres, and learning about the thoughts of other exhibitors opened up new discoveries and connections for me.

Whether it’s portraits or landscapes, at their core, they’re both ‘photography.’ Regardless of experience or age, there’s always so much to learn.

What do you find appealing about the photo poster project?

Everything is encapsulated in cizucu’s statement written on the Thank You card. It’s a place where you can express yourself authentically, surrounded by people who celebrate each other, and a place where you want to meet again. The joy of receiving ‘messages of love’ even after the exhibition ends.

There are many photo exhibitions out there, but this one is filled with kindness and love—a truly wonderful poster exhibition.

For those considering participating in the photo poster project

Poster exhibitions with both national and international reach are rare and valuable, and the speed of their growth is astonishing. While it may be hard to see the impact you’ve made from just one participation, you are undoubtedly influencing someone out there.

Instead of keeping your favorite works to yourself, I hope you’ll come to understand the value of sharing them with the wider world. As someone who loves photography, that would make me truly happy!
