Please introduce yourself!
My name is Matuzawa, and I’m based in Tokyo. I enjoy capturing the subtle interplay of light and shadow as I walk through the city.
I focus on preserving the emotions and atmosphere I feel at the moment of shooting. I use both digital and film photography and share my works daily on social media.
What inspired you to participate?
On social media, photos often disappear in an instant, and I felt frustrated that my work wasn’t being appreciated in depth. I also found it challenging to reach new audiences.
While searching for a space where I could exhibit printed photos and have my work viewed thoughtfully, I discovered the . I thought, "This is the opportunity I’ve been looking for," and decided to participate. The fact that it seemed easy to try also gave me a big push.

Have you experienced any changes after participating multiple times?
When I participated for the first time, I met someone whose photography style was similar to mine. Since then, we’ve gone out shooting together and even created a photo book.
Through photography, I naturally formed connections, started conversations, and found more opportunities to reflect on my own expression. Additionally, by viewing the works of others, I feel that my perspective and approach to my own work have gradually evolved.
What do you find appealing about the photo poster project?
I think it’s wonderful that you can participate easily and form genuine connections with fellow photography enthusiasts.
There’s also a feature called "Love Messages," where participants can leave comments on each other’s works. It’s a valuable experience to learn how others perceive your photos. As someone leaving comments, putting my feelings into words feels like a small exercise in expression.
Additionally, the A2-sized prints are beautifully done, which makes me appreciate my own work even more. Overall, the has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A message for those considering joining the photo poster project
I completely understand the feeling of "I’m interested, but I’m not confident in my photos." But rest assured, everyone here is warm and supportive, and there’s no criticism to worry about!
By exhibiting your photos and having even a small conversation with someone who views them, you’ll gain new insights. If you take the courage to take that first step, you’re sure to encounter something wonderful.
