In June 2025, President Trump signed three executive orders aimed at addressing drone threats while promoting innovation in aviation technology. These orders pave the way for the legalization of beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone flights, the practical implementation of eVTOLs, and the deregulation of supersonic flight.
Additionally, measures were introduced to reduce reliance on foreign-made drones, such as those from , from a national security perspective.

Strengthening Measures to Protect Airspace
The U.S. government is enhancing measures to counteract drone-based espionage, illegal flights, and criminal use. With major international events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics on the horizon, a federal task force has been established, and support systems for state and local governments are being developed.

Promoting Domestic Drones and Protecting Sensitive Information
