The , organized by cizucu since the end of last year, allows participants to join a photo poster exhibition simply by submitting their photos to cizucu. It’s a great opportunity to meet new photographer friends you’ve never encountered before.

This time, we spoke with Toki, a creator who has participated in the twice in the past.

Please introduce yourself!

Nice to meet you. I’m Toki, a weekend photographer. I’m the type who takes photos of anything that resonates with me.

Despite my personality, I have a particular fondness for perfectly aligned architectural structures and vehicles that satisfy my love for trains. I usually shoot around the Tokyo metropolitan area.

What motivated you to participate?

While I enjoy taking photos freely, I often found myself struggling with repetitive subjects or similar compositions. I also tended to avoid photos outside my comfort zone and rarely took a deeper look at them.

That’s when I discovered the . Since it was held within walking distance from the CP+ venue, I decided to participate with a light-hearted attitude, thinking, “Why not get some inspiration while visiting Yokohama?”

Have you experienced any changes after participating multiple times?

I’ve started to look at other people’s photos more deeply, wondering, “Why did they choose this particular shot?”

As a follow-up, I’ve also become more curious about the photographers themselves, their backgrounds, and the emotions behind their shots.

What do you find appealing about the photo poster project?

I feel that photography is not just a one-way medium where viewers interpret the image freely. By conveying the emotions and background behind the shot, photography can resonate on a deeper level.

The is precisely a place where you can experience the true charm of photography.

A message for those considering joining the photo poster project

If you’re feeling like your photography is becoming a bit monotonous or you want to break out of your shell and take a step forward, I highly recommend it. You’ll meet creators with different sensibilities and can even discuss your photography concerns.

Even if you’re worried about not knowing anyone or feel shy about talking to people, the warm atmosphere of the venue and the friendly staff will make you feel at ease, and time will fly by before you know it.

For those who have participated before, why not dive deeper into the world of the ?
