'Focus' spotlights creators, works, and trends. We highlight and introduce creators who post wonderful photos, along with their photos, aiming to find common senses and inspire new creations. This time, the theme is 'SCENE'.
Since You Encountered That Scene
What image comes to mind when you hear the word 'SCENE'? Is it an unseen ceremony, a casual daily life, or a decisive moment? Everything we see is like a movie without a script, constantly creating stories from countless scenes. Your film, running 24/7, 365 days a year. Let's extract one scene from it. That one scene might hold expressions that only photos can capture.
This time, we pick up and introduce creators capturing impressive scenes without a script.

Captivated by Large Tube and Burst Fireworks, the Thrill Beyond the Shutter

Technically, I always focus on the horizon. The impression of a photo is determined 80% by the first glance. Sensibly, when I feel something is off in the scenery, I stop and take a shot. I value the feeling of 'Oh, that's interesting' or 'Oh, that's beautiful'.
Currently, I use a Canon 5D Mark4, but I started with Canon's entry-level cameras and even used equipment from before I was born. Ultimately, it's not about the equipment but how much you love the camera and photography that determines skill. What you seek beyond that is personal freedom, whether it's pursuing equipment power or advancing your love for photography. In the end, I believe it all boils down to 'freedom'. Without overthinking, I capture what I love and express it in my own way.
INFORMATION

Residing in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture. After holding solo exhibitions as a high school photographer, I became a sailor, a dream since middle school.
While working on large ships over 150m from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south, I captured scenes only a sailor could, for about two years. After a relapse of a chronic illness, I switched to a freelance photographer, focusing on the landscapes of East Mikawa.

How was it? The emotions found within a scene. Encountering a new scene allows us to see a fluid world as a still image. Have you ever felt the world slow down as you walk through the city with a camera in hand? Congratulations. You are already captivated by the charm of photography.
