I welcomed September by climbing Mt. Fuji and captured this photo while watching one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life. That same week, I had just discovered a song with these lyrics: ‘En un atardecer Solo aparecen dos cosas La luna y el sol’ Which means: ‘In a sunset Only two things appear The Moon and the Sun’ The coincidence, together with that sunset, made it an unforgettable moment in my life. In the photo, clouds float in the sunset, the moon watches quietly, and the breeze lifts a woman’s hair, capturing the magic of the moment. | suleler

that day of play at the pool with 5 adults looking on. Nephew had no cousin to play with as his uncle (me) decided not to have any kids. A somewhat familiar sight in an aging society like Singapore. this was one of the few times he "dived" under as he was still building on his water confidence. Doing much better now! Photo was taken with a sports housing that was acquired due to the appeal of surfing photography - a genre that brings together my love for nature and sports at the same time. But never got to try to date. In the mean time, have always been looking for the opportunity to take half and half shots like these that capture moments in two separate worlds in the same frame. | Jon H. Tan

This photograph was taken during a collaboration with singer-songwriter Utsavi Jha. At the time, I had stepped away from pursuing photography professionally and had shifted my focus to working as a color grading artist, keeping photography primarily for personal expression. Photographing this moment became more meaningful than I initially expected. I had long admired Utsavi’s music, so having the opportunity to collaborate with her was something I felt deeply grateful for. More importantly, this experience helped me overcome a quiet anxiety I had developed about photographing people in public spaces. What began as a simple collaboration gradually reopened a creative door for me. It reminded me why I was drawn to photographing people in the first place and gave me the confidence to return to it without hesitation. This image, therefore, represents more than a portrait—it marks a personal turning point where photography once again became something I could approach with curiosity and freedom. | Nandan Nabodit
