This photograph was taken at a local market in Kashgar, Xinjiang. A young vendor held up two extraordinarily long skewers of lamb, calling out to passersby. Tourists and locals alike were drawn to the seemingly endless skewers. His way of attracting customers was simple and unadorned, yet unexpectedly theatrical. Through photography, I hope to remain an storyteller—documenting everyday lives, staying present in each moment, and experiencing ways of life different from my own.
