I return to Jeondeungsa Temple on Ganghwa Island at least once every year. Among ancient trees, the hopes of visitors, and contemporary artworks by young artists, I noticed a child pausing before a Little Prince fountain and a cluster of small flowerpots. In that brief moment, different layers of time seemed to come together. This photograph captures that scene at Jeondeungsa Temple in May.
